Due to a broken configure test, pty support in LAM/MPI version 6.5 and
6.4a7 was nonfunctional on some operating systems (including Linux).
This typically manifested itself by being unable to start MPI programs on
nodes other than where one invoked mpirun.

This, of course, was determined shortly *after* we released 6.5 and 6.4a7
(in another universe, it surely must have been Friday the 13th). Many
thanks to those who brought this bug to our attention on the LAM user's
mailing list.

*** The LAM Team sincerely appologizes for the inconvenience ***

We have fixed the problem and released two new verions of LAM/MPI: 6.5.1
and 6.4a8. Source distributions as well as RPMs for these versions are
available at the LAM/MPI web site:

        http://www.lam-mpi.org/

NOTE: LAM 6.4a8 is an experimental distribution and should only be used by
those who wish to use the IMPI extensions.
